About Me

Jasmyn Rana was born in the UK into a multiracial home, raised in Pakistan, and studied and trained in Australia. She currently resides and practices from the UAE. The cultural diversity she was raised with inside the home, and exposed to externally sparked an intrigue into exploring human behaviour and experiences, and understanding how they interact with the environment. She brings a cultural sensitivity into her global practice and works in English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi. Jasmyn has a personal passion for the therapeutic process, a belief in human dignity and the potential for change.

Therapeutic Approach

Jasmyn’s approach is Psychodynamic and she has spent years training under this umbrella. This allows her to explore how the past impacts the present for each of us, and where there is room to bend and grow from this insight. Under this umbrella she works with Inner Child work. Jasmyn is also a Jungian inclined therapist with many trainings to support this. This allows her to work with areas like shadow work, midlife issues, etc. Jasmyn also incorporates skills from various modalities as part of her integrative approach, and tailors it to individual client needs.

Educational and Professional Background

JJasmyn Rana is CDA licensed Social Counsellor, alongside being registered with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia. She completed her Master’s in Counselling from Monash in Melbourne, Australia. She went on to then complete her qualifications as a certified clinical supervisor from CPCAB, United Kingdom. Jasmyn has over 14 years experience in the field. She has taught courses at a university level, has consulted with some of Asia’s largest exporters and spends majority of her time in private practice working with her areas of focus; adults and couples counselling. Alongside of this she has run various group therapies over the years.
